......Only those tribes that file a letter of support with Ring of Nations prior to the NOFA1 filing will share ownership if funded. There is no financial obligation on the part of any Tribe. If funded Dakota 2000 and our vendor partners will form Ring of Nations as a formal entity. The vendor group consists of mostly Tribally, Native, and veteran owned businesses. KDL will be the most significant vendor involved in our group. KDL owns a very high percentage of the fiber in the USA. Their customers are those folks like ATT, Verizon, Qwest, and all the major telcos. KDL is in total support and has the ability to install, maintain and project-manage the entire installation of this project. The great thing is they know and understand going into this that the Tribes own the fiber.
Within two years complete administration of this Sovereign Nation Network (SN2) will be turned over to Ring of Nations' elected officials for complete operation. This will be a for-profit corporation and will be encouraged to build upon this business model to create jobs at home. Instead of the Tribe sending checks to mostly non-native organizations in your larger cities, Ring of Nations will be able to provide unlimited state of the art bandwidth to any customer located on or near the network.
Many existing proposals today shoot for current standards regarding bandwidth. The capacity for Ring of Nations to build a massive amount of bandwidth will prepare our Nations for future communications that might arise in the next several years.
Income potential is unlimited when we consider bringing vast bandwidth to the Federal Government in some of the most remote regions of the Nations. If the Government wants to put high powered cameras and other security devices on our border with Canada, Ring of Nations and the Sovereign Nations Network will be positioned to provide this.
We would ask all of you to tune into our conference call scheduled for August 7th at 10am central time* as we discuss further details of the filing and disclose the current map under engineering. Time is extremely limited; this application is due August 14th, 2009.
Best regards,
Rob Laurenz
President
